Overview
To provide expertise and access to district services in the areas of research and evaluation to assist school and district leaders with achieving district goals.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in research methods, program evaluation or related fields from an accredited institution. Doctorate from an accredited institution preferred.
- Three (3) years of full-time experience or part-time research assistant experience in research, evaluation, and/or statistical analysis to include conducting projects using quantitative, qualitative and/or mixed-method research methods.
- One (1) year of experience presenting research studies and findings at meetings or conferences to various audiences.
- Experience in analysis related to teacher and/or program evaluation preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Demonstrated knowledge of research and evaluation design and methods, data management, the application of appropriate statistical procedures, data validation and analysis, as well as the interpretation of results. Demonstrated skill in survey development and administration. Demonstrated skill in the development of models to measure teacher and administrator effectiveness. Demonstrated ability to use computer applications and statistical analysis software (SPSS and STATA preferred). Demonstrated ability to conduct projects using qualitative coding software such as QDA Miner and survey platform software such as Qualtrics. Demonstrated skill in writing and presenting data in a variety of formats to internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to present research and evaluation findings to groups such as administrators, teachers, support staff, parents, and members of the community. Demonstrated ability to independently plan, execute, and monitor completion of tasks and projects according to established timelines with minimal supervision. Demonstrated ability to work, communicate, and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated ability in planning, developing, implementing, and monitoring processes related to research and evaluation in compliance with local, state, and federal requirements. Demonstrated ability to adapt to changes in priorities and work assignments. Demonstrated ability to facilitate group processes, engage in conflict resolution, planning, and decision-making between school and district leadership to build consensus and develop goals.
