High Point Christian Academy is located in the heart of the Piedmont Triad, in High Point, NC. Founded in 1996, HPCA has an enrollment of over 900 students, preschool through high school; 130 faculty and staff members; and serves students from 104 different churches and 40 different zip codes. 

HPCA is a ministry of Green Street Baptist Church. As a ministry of the church, our campus works together for the sole mission of leading, building, and equipping disciples for Christ.

While serving as a ministry, High Point Christian Academy is its own 501(c)3 organization. The HPCA Board supervises the HPCA Head of School. The HPCA board consists of church members, alumni parents, current HPCA parents, and alumni.

The Head of School (HOS) is a committed Christ follower who understands the Christian faith and adheres to HPCA’s Statement of Faith and the Baptist Faith and Message (BFM, 2000). Most importantly, the HOS loves Jesus faithfully and, therefore, loves people. The HOS’s life consistently displays the “fruits of the spirit” as outlined in Galatians 5: 22-23.

Requirements

he HOS is a genuine, humble leader who faithfully attends GSBC. He/she has, at minimum, a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration, and a clear statement of Kingdom Education philosophy with a deep understanding of how to apply that philosophy and is able to communicate it to all stakeholders.

The HOS is an ex officio member of the church’s staff. He/she works as a liaison between the church and school. In addition, he/she meets regularly with the GSBC’s church staff.

In particular, this leadership includes, but is not limited to, the following:

• Display the gospel with intentionality as HPCA provides Christ-centered, quality education and academic excellence in a loving, caring atmosphere to PS – 12th grade students.
• Live to make Jesus known as HPCA leads students to Jesus, builds them up in Christ, and equips them to serve Christ in the local community and to the ends of the earth.
• Lead strategic planning to ensure advancement and financial stability of the organization.
• Connect with families through personal relationships.
