Associate Principal - Beaver Dam Middle School

DPI licensure Principal (#5051) required. Master’s Degree preferred.

The Beaver Dam Unified School District seeks a full time Associate Principal to be a part of a team of administrators who are focused on serving our students and staff at Beaver Dam Middle School, beginning July 1, 2023. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to serve students in a well-paying and progressive district. The highly collaborative team is focused on guiding staff and students to achieve at their highest levels. This position is responsible for student discipline related to regular school day activities and conducts conferences with students, parents, counselors, and teachers in regard to disciplinary problems. The educational environment is grounded in excellence and fosters high-academic achievement and behavioral expectations for students. 

This position works a 240 day contract.  Compensation is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and education. 

Requirements

Successful candidates will have the following qualifications:

• Valid WI Administrative license #5051
• Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership
• Wisconsin Effectiveness System Certification preferred
• 3+ years of successful, core instructional experience preferred
• Administrative experience in a school setting preferred 
• Significant knowledge in curriculum and researched based instruction for middle level learners, specifically in reading and/or mathematics
• Strong relationship building with students/staff
• Understanding of RtI, experience pursuing differential support academically and social emotionally
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Additional administrative licensure (e.g. #5010 or #5080) preferred
• Advising and/or coaching experience preferred
• Additional duties and responsibilities will be developed in collaboration with the Middle School Principal

Beaver Dam Middle School is home to approximately 700 students from Beaver Dam and surrounding communities. The services for our students are facilitated by more than 70 full time teachers and staff.
